Netflix is adding 17 new movies and shows this week

Netflix may have started off the year a little slow with adding new movies and shows to their lineup, but they are quickly speeding things up this week. A new season of a popular reality series, a new Netflix rom-com, and a new season of an Emmy award-winning Netflix Original series are all coming to the streaming service this week.

Probably the biggest show coming to Netflix this week is Ozark season 4 part 1. It hits Netflix on Friday, Jan. 21, 2022. The show stars Jason Bateman, Julia Garner, Laura Linney, Sofia Hublitz, and Skylar Gaertner and follows the Byrde family as they move to the Ozarks to launder money to keep the drug boss that’s threatening their family satisfied.

This season will pick up right where season 3 left off. Marty and Wendy go to Navarro’s home in Mexico and are told that Darlene must stop her heroin business or…things will not be good for Darlene. Additionally, the drug boss wants to get out of the business and cut a deal with the FBI. Wendy and Marty’s son is also getting into the family business of money laundering thanks to Ruth.

Netflix adding Ozark season 4 and The Royal Treatment this week

More in the mood for a rom-com? The Royal Treatment is Netflix’s latest romance and is coming to the streaming service on Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022. The movie follows Izzy, a New York hairdresser who gets her chance to work at the wedding of a prince. Little does she know when she agrees to be the prince’s guide to “normal life” that she might fall head over heels in love with him herself.

The Royal Treatment stars Laura Marano, Mena Massoud, Chelsea Preston Crayford, Jaque Drew, and Cameron Rhodes.

Too Hot to Handle is also back this week for its third season on Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022. The show features a group of hot singles who must live in a house together in a tropical paradise. Not bad, right? But if they want to win the $100,000 cash prize, they can’t kiss or have sex of any kind. Each time the rules are broken, money will be deducted.
