Cheer season 3 release date updates, renewal, cast, synopsis, and more

Although Cheer season 2 officially released on Netflix this week, it is currently sitting comfortably on Netflix’s top 10 trending list.

The sophomore season’s popularity certainly doesn’t come as a surprise as fans of both cheerleading and fans of reality series adore the show for its authentic feel, cast full of talented individuals, and, of course, the many nail-biting, fierce competitions that these Navarro College students engage in throughout each season.

With how well season 2 is performing, it’s safe to assume that we will receive a Cheer season 3 renewal soon. But what are the odds of a third season happening? Everything that we know so far, here.

Will there be a season 3 of Cheer?

At this time, Netflix has yet to confirm (or deny) that there will be a Cheer season 3. However, the chances of the streaming site doing so are relatively high when all things, including the Rotten Tomatoes critic score of 92%, are considered.

The official cast list has yet to be confirmed, but with the exception of Cassadee Dunlap, who announced that she wouldn’t join the team in the new year, you can expect most of your faves to return.

Following the results of the Daytona 2021, we’re assuming that Cheer season 3 will have a brand-new feel with new members, new competition, and new cheer routines are heading our way.

Additionally, season 3 will likely depict Navarro College’s return to Daytona in 2022 should the team decide to compete there again.

Cheer season 3 release date (predictions)

Being that seasons 1 and 2 of Cheer were released in January of their respective years, it wouldn’t come as too much of a surprise if season 3 receives a January 2023 release date latest or a late 2022 release date earliest.

As nothing has been officially announced as of yet, our predictions could prove to be inaccurate. Be sure to take this information with a grain of salt.
