Happy (almost) new year! We shared the full list of new Netflix movies and shows on the way in January 2022.

Netflix has not revealed the full list of new releases for the first month of the year, but we do know many of the big titles on the way so far.

We split up the best Netflix shows and best Netflix movies coming in January 2022. Netflix is kicking off the new year with a bang!

Best Netflix shows

Ozark is the biggest Netflix original show coming in January 2022. There’s no doubt it will be one of the best Netflix shows of 2022. But, it’s not all about Ozark in January. There are some really good shows we think you’re going to like.

Ozark season 4

The first seven episodes of Ozark are coming to Netflix on Jan. 21, 2022. Fans have been waiting for Ozark season 4 for so long. Netflix is splitting the final season of Ozark into two parts. The second half of the season arrives later in 2022.

Archive 81

Archive 81 is a supernatural thriller series. You can watch Archive 81 on Netflix on Jan. 14.

We shared the synopsis for the Netflix series below, via Netflix:

"Archive 81 follows archivist Dan Turner (Mamoudou Athie), who takes a job restoring a collection of damaged videotapes from 1994. Reconstructing the work of a documentary filmmaker named Melody Pendras (Dina Shihabi), he is drawn into her investigation of a dangerous cult at the Visser apartment building. As the season unfolds across these two timelines, Dan slowly finds himself obsessed with uncovering what happened to Melody. When the two characters form a mysterious connection, Dan becomes convinced he can save her from the terrifying end she met 25 years ago."

The longest Netflix title ever! Kristin Bell stars in the new Netflix original series that premiered on Netflix on Jan. 28. It’s a comedy series that draws inspiration from many similarly titled shows and movies and stories about people who witness a crime and must put together all of the pieces.

Best Netflix movies

We don’t know many Netflix movies on the way in January 2022 yet, but we have a feeling it’s going to be a big month!

Munich – The Edge of War

Munich – The Edge of War premieres on Jan. 21. It tells the story of Europe on the edge of World War II. This movie seems to have some award season potential with a great cast that includes Jeremy Irons.

Home Team

Home Team looks like it might be the most popular Netflix movie of January 2022. It tells the story of NFL coach Sean Payton after he gets suspended from the NFL and returns to coaching youth football. Kevin James, Rob Schneider, Taylor Lautner, and Jack Sandler star in the new Netflix movie that premieres on Jan. 28.

As you can see, there are some excellent Netflix movies and shows to watch in the first month of year.

We still don’t have the full list of Netflix new releases yet, but we have to imagine that Netflix will share the full list within the next couple of weeks. We’ll update the list with more new releases as Netflix announces them.
