There are still plenty of movies on Netflix to watch before the year ends, and not all of them are Christmas movies. Here are the top five for this week.

If you’re in the mood for Christmas movies, there are plenty of options available on Netflix. Whether you want a fun one for the whole family or you need a movie with a romantic ending, you’re covered pretty well.

But not everyone wants to watch Christmas movies. You may want a horror, a thriller, or maybe even something light for the whole family.

There are some excellent movies on Netflix available. Here are five you’ll want to check out this weekend.

5 must-watch movies on Netflix this weekend: Dec. 11-12

The Unforgivable

We start with the biggest release of the week, The Unforgivable. Sandra Bullock is known for bringing some excellent movies, whether she’s an undercover cop at a beauty pageant or trying to save the lives of people around her while blindfolded. In the latest of her movies on Netflix, she’s a woman getting out of prison after two decades.

The world has changed, but that’s not the problem. It’s how the people around her view her. She wants to start afresh, but that’s not possible when her crime is considered “unforgivable.”

Back to the Outback

Need something for the whole family? There are some great animated movies on Netflix, and one of them dropped during the week. Back to the Outback is the movie to turn to.

You’ve seen plenty of movies of animals escaping one place for another. They just want a safe life. Well, these animals want to enter a life of danger. They’re fed up of the caged-in life at the zoo, and now they want to escape to the Outback.

The Shack

When you want a fantasy movie, you’ll want to turn to The Shack. It stars Olivia Spencer and Sam Worthington in a movie that starts off with heartbreak but brings beauty and surprise.

After the loss of his daughter, a man just wants answers and revenge. What he finds is an abandoned shack isn’t as abandoned as it initially seems. What is going on behind closed doors?

Two

Then there are movies on Netflix for the horror fans. Two will certainly fit the bill for those who like movies like The Human Centipede.

In Two, a couple of people wake up joined to each other. They’re joined by the abdomen, but that’s not the biggest shock of them all. The strangers may know the person behind their ordeal.

Nicole Byer: BBW (Big Beautiful Weirdo)

We are cheating with the last option on the list. After all, it is not technically a movie. It’s a stand-up comedy special. Since there is just one episode to the special, we’ll count it as a movie.

Fans of Nailed It! will want to see Nicole Byer in her own special. This is a chance to do that. She covers all sorts of topics that fit her “Big Beautiful Weirdo” theme.
