Vanessa Hudgens, 32, recently starred in Netflix’s new musical drama Tick, Tick… Boom! alongside Andrew Garfield and Alexandra Shipp. This reacquainted many viewers with the talented singing skills of the former High School Musical star.
Given that the 32-year-old actress has starred in several Christmas movies, such as The Princess Switch series and The Knight Before Christmas, it’s no surprise that many are questioning whether or not Vanessa Hudgens has ever released a Christmas album.
If you’ve been wondering the same, then we’ve got you covered. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about Vanessa Hudgens’ possible Christmas album.
Vanessa Hudgens’ Christmas album
While filming the Princess Switch sequel Switched Again in 2019, Vanessa Hudgens did tease her social media fans in an Instagram Live that she was considering putting out a Christmas album for 2020. However, given nobody quite foresaw the disruptions the COVID-19 pandemic would cause that year, many weren’t too surprised when the 32-year-old Spring Breakers actress ended up shelving that idea for the moment.
Back in 2009, following the completion of the High School Musical series, Vanessa Hudgens featured on a Christmas album, titled, A Very Special Christmas Vol 7, which saw a number of stars of the time — like Hannah Montana‘s Miley Cyrus, Gossip Girl‘s Leighton Meester and High School Musical co-star Ashely Tisdale — cover classic Christmas songs.
On the album, The Princess Switch 3 actress sang a sweet rendition of Winter Wonderland. You can listen to it here and it will get you right into the Christmas spirit.
As of Nov. 28, 2021, Vanessa Hudgens doesn’t have a Christmas album, but that doesn’t mean she’ll never release one. While she’s mainly focusing on her acting career at the moment it’s likely that at some point in the future we will get to hear new music, or perhaps even release covers of our favorite Christmas tunes.
As mentioned above, Hudgens previously had plans to release a Christmas album in 2020, so she could very well revisit that project in the next few years. Stay tuned for more updates!
