Netflix’s A Christmas Prince franchise — starring Rose Mclver as Amber and Ben Lamb as Prince Richard — is a huge success and a firm favorite of ours when it comes to getting into the spirit of the festive season.
Now that we’re only days away from December, it’s time to put our feet up, get out the hot chocolate and snuggle up to watch some Christmas movies.
A Christmas Prince movies
Currently, there are three parts to the Christmas Prince saga. The first movie, A Christmas Prince, was released on Netflix in 2017 and drew many into the wholesome love story of “playboy” Prince Richard (Ben Lamb) and the promising “young journalist,” Amber (Rose Mclver).
The second installment, A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding, was released the following year on Netflix in 2018 and saw Amber and Prince Richard wed in a fairytale style Christmas wedding, but it wasn’t without hiccups leading up to the big day.
The third and most recent in the franchise, A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby, was released in 2019 on Netflix and saw Amber and her Prince welcome a “royal baby” on Christmas day.
Currently, all three parts in the A Christmas Prince saga are available to stream on Netflix, so if you’re looking to get into the festive spirit make sure to dive into the fictional world of Aldovia.
Will there be A Christmas Prince 4?
As of this weekend, on Nov. 28, 2021, it still remains unknown whether Netflix has any plans to continue the Christmas Prince franchise for a fourth installment or not. Nothing official concerning the future of the franchise has been announced.
However, Netflix did imbue fans with the hope that one day we may be revisiting the kingdom of Aldovia once more after an unexpected crossover occurred in The Princess Switch: Switched Again last year, which saw King Richard and Queen Amber make a brief cameo, and again this year in The Princess Switch: Romancing The Star, when Duke Simon made his own appearance, too.
