The upcoming baking competition School of Chocolate is a Netflix original series that’ll leave you awed by the pastry creations and chocolate showpieces featured across its first season run.

As the title of the show makes clear, an essential element of this series is that it’s also a learning environment for its participants. Over the course of eight episodes, they’ll learn tricks of the trade that will elevate not only their knowledge of pastry and chocolate but also their skills.

They’ll be instructed by Amaury Guichon, a world class chocolatier who uses the sweet confection to make stunning realistic art from a lighthouse to a candelabra with a surprise hidden within it.

Under his direction, each contestant will compete in challenges that stretch their imagination and understanding of what they’re able to create using chocolate as their medium.

By the end of School of Chocolate, one of the eight chefs will be named ‘Best in Class’ and receive 50,000 dollars to start their own small business and ease their way toward the next step of their career. They’ll also teach an international master class at Chef Guichon’s pastry academy in Las Vegas.

Here’s more on the series that premieres, Friday, Nov. 26!
