The Witcher season 2 release date

The Witcher season 2 is another series that has been drastically impacted by the pandemic. The series started filming in 2021, but production was shut down because of the pandemic and cast members testing positive for COVID-19.

The Witcher was one of the first shows to resume production in the late summer/early fall of 2020. We were expecting the series to be released on Netflix in the summer of 2021. It could have been bumped to the fall of 2021.

The Witcher season 2 wrapped filming in April 2021. And, now we know that The Witcher season 2 is coming to Netflix on December 17, 2021.

Netflix announced the news at WitcherCon, which was held on July 9, 2021.

Earlier this year, Netflix confirmed that season 2 would be released in Q4, which means sometime between October and the end of the year. Christmas is the perfect time for The Witcher season 2.

Plus, Netflix released the first season around Christmastime in 2019, and that worked really well for the series. It’s one of the most-watched Netflix shows of all time, so a holiday release is perfect for the new season.
