Netflix is adding 18 new movies and shows this week

It’s Thanksgiving week! And besides a food coma, it means a bunch of holiday movies and shows are coming to Netflix. This week brings a holiday version of a Netflix kids show, a new family-friendly Christmas movie, and a new holiday rom-com.

Waffles + Mochi are back for a holiday-themed special on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021. Waffles + Mochi’s Holiday Feast shows the two friends celebrating Freezie Day and learning that holiday traditions aren’t all about food. They are also about the people you spend it with and the memories you make.

Netflix adding new holiday movies this week

Netflix is also releasing one of their new kid-friendly Christmas movies this week. A Boy Called Christmas hits the streaming service on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2021. The film stars Maggie Smith, Henry Lawfull, Michiel Huisman, Jim Broadbent, and Sally Hawkins.

The movie tells the story of a young boy, Nikolas, who sets out on an adventure to find his father who is on an adventure of his own to find the village of Elfhelm.

More in the mood for some romance? A Castle for Christmas comes to Netflix on Friday, Nov. 26, 2021. The movie follows a bestselling author who, to escape a scandal, travels to Scotland where she falls in love with a castle and just maybe, the duke who owns it.

A Castle for Christmas stars Brooke Shields, Cary Elwes, Vanessa Grasse, Suanne Braun, and Andi Osho.
