Avatar: The Last Airbender release date, cast, synopsis, trailer and more

We have some big updates about the Avatar: The Last Airbender cast and release date to share.

The new Netflix original series is coming to Netflix soon!

The original series was added to Netflix in May 2020, and while the series is more than 15 years old, Avatar: The Last Airbender is one of the most popular shows on Netflix.

It’s been a rocky start for Netflix’s new Avatar: The Last Airbender series. Unfortunately, as development was underway, the two co-creators, Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, are not involved with the project anymore. Albert Kim is the new showrunner.

Avatar: The Last Airbender release date

Avatar: The Last Airbender looks like it will be released on Netflix in late 2022, possibly during the holiday season.

Production on the new series is officially underway. Netflix confirmed the start of production in mid-November 2021.

According to a report from Hollywood North, it will run through May 2022 in Vancouver, British Columbia.

If production wraps in May 2022, we could see the series premiere sometime in November or December 2022. This is the most likely release date scenario for the Avatar: The Last Airbender right now.

We could have to wait much longer to see the season premiere. If that happens, we’ll probably see Avatar: The Last Airbender on Netflix sometime between the spring and fall of 2023.

It really just depends on how long Netflix needs for post-production and promoting the new season.

That’s all we know for now about the release date. We’ll share any updates with you as we find out!
