Is Belfast on Netflix?

The coming-of-age comedy-drama Belfast has the critics raving, and everyone wants to know if the movie is available on Netflix.

Kenneth Branaugh is the writer and director of the well-crafted, black-and-white feature that premiered for the world at the 48th Telluride Film festival. After earning significant praise, it went on to win the People’s Choice Award at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Belfast is a semiautobiographical tale that chronicles the life of a working-class family and follows the young son’s childhood during The Troubles in Belfast. Outlander’s Caitriona Balfe, former James Bond actress Judi Dench, Fifty Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan, Kin’s Ciaran Hinds, Colin Morgan, and Jude Hill star in the new movie.

Rotten Tomatoes has given the film the coveted Certified Fresh designation, and it is sure to be a heavy favorite come this year’s competitive awards season. There is no denying that Belfast could easily be on several lists for the best flick of the year.

Is Belfast on Netflix?

Netflix has plenty of critically acclaimed, award-winning titles in the library, and it’s no surprise that some of these fantastic movies slip through the crack. But, no, Belfast is not on Netflix.

But, as mentioned earlier, the streamer has so many exceptional movies available right now for subscribers to enjoy. Some of these incredibly entertaining and instantly riveting examples include Roma, Pieces of a Woman, The Irishman, The Midnight’s Sky, and The Trial of the Chicago 7.  

Where to watch Belfast

The film Belfast, which will certainly get attention this awards season, is only available in theaters.
