Best Christmas movies and shows on Netflix

Merry early Christmas and Happy Holidays! It’s time to watch Christmas movies and shows on Netflix!

There are so many good Christmas titles on Netflix right now. To help you find the best one to get you in the holiday spirit, we shared a list of the best holiday movies and shows on Netflix in 2022.

For a long time, Netflix used to have all of the big Christmas movies, or most of them, anyway. It’s a lot bit tougher these days to acquire the streaming rights to the classic Christmas movies with all of the streaming services, so it’s great that Netflix is making so many holiday movies and shows each year.

Ahead of December, we’ve already gotten a few fun new Christmas movies on Netflix, including Falling for Christmas starring Lindsay Lohan, Christmas With You starring Freddie Prinze Jr. and Aimee Garcia, and more. As more exciting titles are released this month, let’s get into the best holiday movies and shows on the platform to watch right now.

Best Christmas movies on Netflix: The Noel Diary

Starring Justin Hartley, Barrett Doss, Essence Atkins, Bonnie Bedelia, James Remar, Andrea Sooch, Aaron Costa Ganis, Lucia Spina, Jeff Corbett

We’re kicking off this list with a romantic comedy The Noel Diary, which is also the newest big holiday movie on Netflix. Starring This Is Us actor Justin Hartley, the heartfelt film follows protagonist Jake, a famous and successful author, as he returns to his hometown after learning his mother has passed away. While he’s there, he finds more than he had bargained for and starts looking deeper into his past.

Jake meets a woman named Rachel who’s looking for answers about her past, and when they discover a diary at his mother’s estate, they realize they have more of a connection than they realized and must uncover the truth together.

The Noel Diary is directed by Charles Shyer, who’s best known for The Parent Trap and Father of the Bride.
