American Horror Story

Seasons: 10

There are plenty of horror film franchises you could watch to keep you busy and entertained for many Halloweens to come. But if you really want an expansive horror binge-watch to kick off the spooky season, American Horror Story should be at the top of your watch list.

Of course, the long-running anthology series from Ryan Murphy has been adored by fans for over 10 years, making it one of the most popular series on FX, Netflix and all of television. Since day one, AHS has offered some of the most haunting, gory and terrifying horror stories on the small screen.

The current season, dubbed Double Feature, will be told in two parts and center around blood-thirsty pale creatures as well as aliens. Series leads Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters return alongside frequent players Lily Rabe, Finn Wittrock, Billie Lourd, Leslie Grossman, Adina Porter, Frances Conroy, Angelica Ross and newcomer Macaulay Culkin.

American Horror Story began with Murder House and has tackled everything from witches to cults to vampires to the end of the world, and there are still at least two more seasons to come. The first nine seasons of the anthology series are available to watch on Netflix, while the new spin-off series American Horror Stories streams on Hulu.
