If you’re big on horror comedies, The Babysitter on Netflix is a must-watch!
The film stars Samara Weaving as Bee, a babysitter who looks after Cole (played by Judah Lewis) one night where things turn weird very quickly. Though Cole has a crush on Bee and really looks up to her, everything changes once he finds out she’s actually a devil-worshipper along with her group of friends.
Understandably, Cole isn’t supportive of their motivations and quickly calls the police. However, The Babysitter does not skimp out on the actions or kills, and so it’s not as easy for Cole to get away as he hopes. We do get answers as to why Bee joined the cult in the first place, though that doesn’t take away from how ridiculous the overall premise is.
This movie is fun from start to finish, certainly has some comedic relief, and will keep you on the edge of your seat.
The Babysitter also features the talents of familiar faces Robbie Amell, Bella Thorne, Leslie Bibb, Andrew Bachelor (a.k.a. King Bach), and a few others. It’s definitely a teen movie with a lot of edge and would make a perfect addition to your Halloween lineup. Need something to break up all the horrifying films on your watch list? The Babysitter can do that for you. Plus, if you love the first one, there’s a sequel! The Babysitter: Killer Queen is also streaming on Netflix right now.
Make it a double feature and you’ll be all set!
