In horror, blood feuds are usually reserved for vampires and werewolves unless you’re watching a show from The Vampire Diaries universe. But Netflix served up its own witch and wolf conflict with the original series The Order.
Short-lived as it was, the show was one of the streamer’s few college dramas but with a supernatural twist. On Belgrave University’s campus, magic practitioners and werewolves belong to disparate secret societies. Freshman Jack Morton intends to join the Hermetic Order of the Blue Rose, however, his reasons for doing so are kept close to his vest.
Their foes are the Knights of Saint Christopher whose members have sworn to eliminate any magic wielder that dares to practice the dark arts. These werewolves, like the practitioners, walk the campus without their fellow college students aware that magic and otherworldly beings are real.
Jack’s arrival on campus stirs the pot as the series progresses. He has a connection to both factions which puts him squarely in the middle of their fighting. Not only will his relationships and alliances be tested by this reality but so will those of the people he’s come to know and care for.
College is supposed to be a transformational time for young adults, but he doubts what goes down in Belgrave U is what people mean.
