If you’re a fan of Wunmi Mosaku’s turn as Ruby in Lovecraft Country, then here’s another horror drama to enjoy starring the actress. His House sees Mosaku in the role of Rial, a mother grieving the loss of her daughter Nyagak.

Rial and her husband Bol are Sudanese refugees who made the difficult journey from their war-torn home country to what’s supposed to be the safety of Europe. The couple, however, find that the house they’ve moved into on the outskirts of London is not what it seems.

Rundown and barren, it’s not fit to live in, but it’s where they’ve been allowed to stay. As such they make the most of it until it becomes apparent that the unwelcoming spirit they feel isn’t just in the air, it’s an actual haunting in their home.

In order to step into their new lives, to have a chance at the promise of the better life they fought so hard for for themselves and their daughter, they’ll have to rid the house of its ghost. Though that’s going to prove difficult as the building’s former tenant isn’t willing to go quietly and is vengeful and violent in nature. Contending with a ghost was the last thing Rial and Bol thought they’d have to deal with in Europe, but they’ll do what they must as they always have.
