Moving on to the next best Halloween movie, ParaNorman. This may be an oldie, but it’s definitely a goodie! When it was first released in theaters in 2012, it generally received positive reviews from critics. ParaNorman is truly a horror movie that the whole family can watch together.
We wouldn’t suggest letting your young, young kids watch this by themselves because the thrilling movie is rated PG. In addition, ParaNorman includes monstrous entities like zombies and ghosts that may be too scary for kids.
The spooky animated movie tells the story of a young boy named Norman who can communicate with supernatural entities such as ghosts. When given the task to end a more than a century-year witch curse, he goes on a mission to save his town from evil.
You may even hear some familiar voices because the voice cast includes Pitch Perfect‘sAnna Kendrick, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’s Jodelle Ferland, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Christopher Mintz Plasse.
