Have little ones in the house who will be joining you for your Halloween movie marathon? Definitely add Monster House to your list! The animated film is a classic tale of a town’s haunted house with a lot of comedic relief and fun moments.

Monster House follows protagonist D.J. (voiced by Mitchell Musso) and his best friend Chowder (voiced by Sam Lerner), whose lives get turned upside down when they begin spying on their elderly neighbor, Horace Nebbercracker (voiced by Steve Buscemi). After Nebbercracker is taken to the hospital, the kids start investigating his house, which they believe is haunted and abducts children.

With the help from another kid at school, Jenny (voiced by Spencer Locke), the group of pre-teens begin their mission to figure out what or who is behind the house and how to stop it.

Other prominent actors to voice characters in Monster House include Maggie Gyllenhaal, Kevin James, Catherine O’Hara, the late Fred Willard, Nick Cannon, Jon Heder, and Kathleen Turner.

Though the movie is for children, it’s also a very entertaining watch for adults, making it fun for the whole family. With a great story and funny lines, this one is not to be missed. You can stream Monster House right now on Netflix!
