In the second movie of the Fear Street trilogy, Deena and her brother, Josh, learn about what happened at Camp Nightwing back in 1978. The story is told by the mysterious C. Berman, one of the only survivors of that night of terror that left the children and teens of Shadyside and Sunnyvale at the mercy of the witch.
We’re introduced to Ziggy and Cindy Berman, two sisters estranged thanks to their different attitudes about being Shadysiders. Ziggy is petulant, sarcastic, and unafraid to deal with the reality of their circumstances. In contrast, Cindy wants to stay positive and plan for her future, one that will see her leave the town if she can just stick to the path she’s walking.
Their summer, however, is disrupted when the latest name on the witch’s list of killers makes an appearance at the camp. The hot haze of young love, sex, drugs, and rock and roll is quickly dissipated as campers begin to get sliced and diced without remorse.
Surviving the night is the name of this particular campfire game but with the Berman sisters separated, getting back to each other is also of top priority. Problem is, there are plenty of places to run but hiding will eventually no longer be an option. They’ll have to fight if they want to see the sunrise.
