Is 4400 on Netflix?

4400 premieres tonight, Oct. 25 on The CW at 9 p.m. ET. The new sci-fi series is a reboot of a show called The 4400 which ran from 2004-2007.

In this iteration of the show, the premise is similar. 4400 people reappear in Detroit after disappearing for years, in some cases decades. No one knows why this happened but the government rounds these individuals up and holds them in a facility until they can get some answers.

Or at least they try to, the thing about keeping that many people contained is that it’s not a sustainable solution. Though besides being under surveillance and held against their will, those who are a part of this group will have a rough go of it.

Times have changed drastically in their absence. For some their families have passed on. For others, their children have grown into young adults without them. It’s a lot to take in considering how much they’ve lost. However, life in the 21st century might be the best thing to happen to some of the 4400 considering the social progress America has made since they were gone.

Is the 4400 coming to Netflix?

4400 will be available to stream next day on The CW app. However, the show won’t be coming to Netflix, not even as a next day viewing option for international subscribers. As this CW original is one of its new shows, it doesn’t fall under the umbrella of the network’s deal with Netflix that lapsed in 2019.

Like with Nancy Drew, Kung-Fu, and Batwoman, 4400 will likely land on HBO Max once it finishes its first season run on The CW. If you’d like to check out the original series from the aughts, all four season are available to stream on Netflix.
