The news that a fifth Scream film is coming to theaters has got everyone, especially Netflix subscribers, eager to check out its predecessor, Scream 4.

It is not easy for a franchise to make it to four films, and there are plenty of franchises within the horror genre that probably should have stopped after the first entry. But Scream fans would argue that having Ghostface in the mix, whether it’s on the big or small screen, is an absolute necessity every so many years.

The 2022 Scream feature will be a can’t miss affair for those long associated with the franchise. And before they do, they’ll most assuredly want to revisit the slasher flick that came before it showcased how the rules can change, but the outcome will still be deadly.

In the fourth iteration Sidney Prescott, author of a self-help book, takes her book tour to her hometown, where she is once again terrorized by a Ghostface-wearing murderer, who is also targeting her friends and family. The cast is once again full of top-tier talent, including Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Lucy Hale, Hayden Panettiere, Emma Roberts, Anthony Anderson, Alison Brie, Rory Culkin, and Adam Brody.

There are a lot of scary movies occupying a place within Netflix’s stacked library of content. But unfortunately, the terrifying sequel to the third chapter in the Scream saga, Scream 4, is not available on the streaming service as of October 2021.

Some of these excellent choices include Army of the Dead, The Ritual, Things Heard & Seen, The Babysitter, and the Fear Street trilogy.
