Squid Game is a darkly engrossing and hauntingly relatable story

One of the things that could be attributed to the insane success that Squid Game has seen is the instantly riveting narrative drenched in darkness covered by a visually stunning coat of paint. There is also the relatable fact that many people out there unfortunately find themselves in a situation where they may make the call to participate in these types of harrowing ordeals because for some that seems like the only chance of changing their situation for the better.

The world is a cruel place, and it sometimes seems the only way to make it to the top is a dark path where morality dies along the way, and the lust for the chance to have it all eclipses all reason. Squid Game‘s breathtaking take on this mindset is what most assuredly draws people in and, from what the numbers are showing, has them coming back for more.

When any form of media can stay with a fan for days after the credits roll and make them ask some pretty epic existential questions, it’s a marvelous thing to witness. Survival is showcased on a whole other level, solidifying Squid Game as an incredibly entertaining affair from start to finish.
