Blonde release date predictions, cast, synopsis, and more

Blonde is coming to Netflix in 2022, and we can’t wait to see this upcoming Netflix movie! We’ll share everything we know about this highly anticipated film right here.

Blonde is a biographical drama film written and directed by Andrew Dominik. It’s a film adaptation of the 2000 book titled the same name by Joyce Carol Oates. It’s a fictionalized telling of the famous actress Marilyn Monroe.

Development for the Marilyn Monroe biopic started in 2010, and production for the film began in August 2019. Now that we have a release year, it seems that principal photography for the film has ended, and it’s now in post-production.

We’re about to tell you our release date predictions, cast, synopsis and more to make sure you’re more informed on this upcoming movie.

Blonde release date predictions

Netflix has confirmed a 2022 release year but has not given an official release date. However, since the film seems to be done with production and post-production is either underway or done as well, Blonde could really release at the beginning of 2022, like in the months of January or February.

But we think that if the movie were to come out in one of those months, Netflix would have stated this by now. So, we think the earliest that we could see Blonde is in spring 2022. This is just our prediction, and the upcoming drama film could come earlier or later than spring 2022.

When an official release date is announced, we’ll be sure to update you.

Blonde synopsis

Netflix has not released an official synopsis, but we have a gist of what this film will be about. It’s a biographical film about Marilyn Monroe, so we’ll get to see not only what Monroe showed the media but also Monroe’s inner and private life.

We also know that this film will consist of very little dialogue. Dominik did an interview with Collider in 2016 and spoke on Blonde. Check out what he said below:

It’s a film about the human condition. It tells the story of how a childhood trauma shapes an adult who’s split between a public and a private self. It’s basically the story of every human being, but it’s using a certain sense of association that we have with something very familiar, just through media exposure. It takes all of those things and turns the meanings of them inside out, according to how she feels, which is basically how we live. It’s how we all operate in the world. It just seems to me to be very resonant. I think the project has got a lot of really exciting possibilities, in terms of what can be done, cinematically.
