The Blacklist

The eighth season of the NBC crime thriller The Blacklist was recently released on Netflix, and the series is sitting at No. 6 on the Netflix Top 10.

Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader) was a government agent for years. He then turned to a life of crime and eluded authorities for decades. He volunteers his services to the FBI to hunt down their most dangerous criminals as long as he can work with rookie profiler Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone), and that he is granted immunity from being prosecuted for his crimes.

Also starring Diego Klattenhoff, Ryan Eggold, Parminder Nagra, Harry Lennix, Amir Arison, Mozhan Marnò, Hisham Tawfiq and Laura Sohn.

The series has received strong reviews from critics as being one of the best crime dramas. The Blacklist has been nominated for several awards throughout its eight seasons. The ninth season premieres on NBC on Oct. 21.

Scaredy Cats

A new series for the kids that is purr-fect for the Halloween season is Scaredy Cats. The series is part of the “Netflix and Chills” Halloween lineup and is great for younger Halloween fans.

A younger girl inherits an amulet from her mother on her 12th birthday, and she soon discovers it has magical powers. She also learns that her mother is a witch, and two other witches have been searching for the amulet for many years.

The series consists of nine episodes and is geared towards children, but the storyline is interesting enough to keep the adults interested.
