Sweet Tooth premiered on Netflix on June 4, 2021, and it’s a must-watch for fans of apocalyptic dramas and shows based on comic books.

The Netflix original series is based on the comic of the same name created by Jeff Lemire.

Sweet Tooth tells the story of a world after the Great Crumble, an event that, somehow, created human-animal hybrids, who are not welcome and hunted in this world. This story follows Gus, aka Sweet Tooth, a deer boy, who befriends Tommy, who helps Gus find his mother.

Sweet Tooth starts a little slow for my liking, but once it picks up, this show is as good as any Netflix show we’ve seen this year so far. I still prefer Shadow and Bone or Lucifer. Sweet Tooth is in the category and conversation, and that’s pretty incredible for a little show about a deer boy.

We’re still waiting for Netflix to renew Sweet Tooth for season 2. We should see the new season sometime in 2022, though. Stay tuned for more news about Sweet Tooth season 2.
