Emily Osment‘s new television series is coming to Netflix on Oct. 8, and we’re counting down the days until Pretty Smart is released. The release date is quickly approaching, and we’re ecstatic!

The last time we saw Emily on our screens, she was playing Roxy Doyle in Almost Family. Sadly, that series was canceled, but now we get to see her in this upcoming Netflix original sitcom.

The role she plays in Pretty Smart is different from what we’re used to seeing her play, so it’s going to be interesting to watch her portray a new character.

Pretty Smart is a sitcom created by Jack Dolgen and Doug Mand and stars Emily Osment, Olivia Macklin, Cinthya Carmona, Gregg Sulkin, and Micheal Hsu Rosen. So what is this comedy sitcom about?

Pretty Smart synopsis

The television series is about a brilliant college graduate named Chelsea, who after being dumped by her boyfriend, moves in with her high-spirited younger sister and her kooky roommates.

Check out the official synopsis via Netflix down below.

"After getting unexpectedly dumped by her boyfriend, Chelsea (Emily Osment) — a high-brow, Harvard-educated intellectual and aspiring novelist — is forced to move in with her bubbly, carefree, not-so-intellectual West Coast sister, Claire (Olivia Macklin), and her three lovably eccentric, not-so-intellectual roommates: Grant (Gregg Sulkin), a distractingly handsome personal trainer, Solana (Cinthya Carmon), a former lawyer turned healer, and Jayden (Michael Hsu Rosen), a social media influencer. But Chelsea’s tough, sometimes judgemental exterior starts to soften as she gets to know her new friends, and they begin to form an unlikely found family."

We provide the official trailer below.

Based on this trailer, we can tell that we’re going to be laughing throughout the whole season. There are ten episodes in the first season, so there’s a lot to cover. You can expect the sitcom to land on Netflix at 12:01 a.m. PT/3:01 a.m. ET on Oct. 8.
