Netflix is adding 23 new movies and shows this week

The first full week of October is officially here and with it comes quite a few new movies and shows on Netflix. From a new season of a Netflix Original series to a new horror movie to a new season of a very weird reality dating show, there really is something for everyone coming to the streaming service this week.

The fourth and final season of On My Block is hitting Netflix on Monday, Oct. 4, 2021. The series follows a group of friends as they make their way through high school while living in South Central Los Angeles. They deal with gangs, school, friendship struggles, romances, and everything that comes with being a teen.

The end of season 3 saw the friends kidnapped and forced to find the mob’s founder, Lil’ Ricky. It then jumped forward in time two years and showed the friends no longer in touch. Will they come back together in season 4? We’ll have to wait and see!

Ready for some horror now that it’s spooky season? There’s Someone Inside Your House hits Netflix on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2021. The film tells the story of the graduating class of Osbourne High School.

It seems like they’re all being targeted by a masked killer who is revealing their darkest secrets and then killing them. Did I mention the killer wears a mask of the victim’s face?? Creepy!  It will take a group of outsiders to figure out who is doing this and to defeat them. (protect your ankles!!)

Sexy Beasts coming to Netflix this week

More in the mood for a reality dating show with a twist? Season 2 of Sexy Beasts is coming to Netflix on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021. The reality dating show features singles looking for love like any normal dating show except in this show, they are wearing animal, alien, or other creature masks during the entire date.

You know, sometimes writers have weird ideas. It doesn’t mean they should be acted on, Netflix!

This week also brings Baking Impossible and season 8 of The Blacklist on Wednesday, Oct. 6, and the first season of the new Netflix sitcom, Pretty Smart, on Friday, Oct. 8.
