Hubie Halloween was directed by Steven Brill, who has directed other Sandler movies, Little Nicky and Mr. Deeds. Adam Sandler and Tim Herlihy wrote the film that was produced by Happy Madison.

Hubie Debois (Sandler) has appointed himself as the official Halloween Helper of his hometown of Salem, Massachusetts. A delicatessen worker, Debois knows everyone in town and is ridiculed by the citizens and is the punch line to most of their jokes.

This year, a mysterious new neighbor and an escapee from the local mental institute have Hubie carefully monitoring his town this Halloween season. When people starting coming up missing, Hubie realizes he has a genuine mystery on his hands.
