Best Halloween movies on Netflix
Halloween 2021 is right around the corner! We picked some of the best Halloween movies and shows to watch on Netflix this year.
There are so many good picks on Netflix for Halloween 2021. While Netflix might not have some of the classics like Hocus Pocus, there are a bunch of good scary movies, TV shows, and Netflix originals to watch on the streaming service.
Some people like scary movies and shows, while others prefer more family-friendly content for Halloween. We took all of that into account in building this list and tried to offer something for everyone.
We’re also going to be updating the list as Netflix adds more Halloween movies and shows as we get closer to the holiday. There have been really good new releases for Halloween this year so far, including Midnight Mass, There’s Someone Inside Your House, and more!
Let’s get the list started with the Adam Sandler Halloween movie that you’re dying to watch, Hubie Halloween!
Hubie Halloween
Release Year: 2020
Directed by Steven Brill
Cast: Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Julie Bowen, Ray Liotta, Rob Schneider, June Squibb, Kenan Thompson, Shaquille O’Neal, Steve Buscemi, Maya Rudolph, Tim Meadows, Karan Brar, Paris Berelc, Noah Schnapp, China Anne McClain, and Michael Chiklis
If you are searching for a Halloween movie that’s more fun and spooky than it is frightening and violent, Hubie Halloween is the movie to watch on Netflix.
Hubie Halloween takes place in the town of Salem, where Hubie Dubois (Adam Sandler) is all about safety and following the rules. If there’s anything remotely strange happening in the neighborhood, you can count on Hubie being the first to report it. However, instead of coming off as helpful, Hubie’s nagging makes no one believe or care about what he has to say. So when a real threat arrives in town, will anyone listen to Hubie?
Hubie Halloween is rated PG-13 so it’s on the safer side than most Adam Sandler movies, making it a great Halloween movie to enjoy with the older kids in the family.
The movie also has a fun mystery behind it and a few jump scares that’ll keep everyone entertained and guessing, but won’t have you thinking too hard. And you won’t be going to bed with any nightmares if this is what you’d like to avoid.
There’s also plenty of star power in the movie. Along with Adam Sandler, Julie Bowen, Cameron Boyce, Noah Schnapp, comedy favorites Kevin James, Maya Rudolph, Kenan Thompson, Tim Meadows, and more, also star.
