Is Fantasy Island on Netflix? Where to watch the show online

Reboots have had their time in the sun for quite awhile in this era of TV. A recent edition to the ranks is Fantasy Island, a new drama that made its debut Tuesday, August 10.

Based on the original series that ran from 1977-1984, this updated version sees the mysterious island run by Elena Roarke. The charming woman grants visitors to the luxury resort their heart’s desire. It’s a responsibility that has come with challenges as Elena has had to set her own dreams and love aside to carry on her family’s work.

Her sacrifice, however, has kept the magic of the island alive. As its steward, Elena protects the precious gift her resort provides while working to help its guests achieve what should be impossible.

Given the amount of content Netflix puts out regularly, the question of whether a new show is on the platform often comes up. But is Fantasy Island a Netflix original series? Here’s what we know.

How to watch Fantasy Island

Fantasy Island is a Fox original that currently airs weekly on the channel on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET though The Futon Critic shows the series switching to airing on both Tuesdays and Sundays after September 7.

The show’s streaming home, however, isn’t Netflix. Hulu subscribers can watch new episodes of the series on Wednesdays after the episode airs.

If you have a TV provider log-in, you can watch the latest episodes on fox.com as well as stream Fantasy Island live as the new episode premieres on the channel. The series has eight episodes announced with episode 8 scheduled to air Sunday, September 19.
