StartUp season 4 renewal rumors: Is the new season happening?

StartUp was added to Netflix in 2021. Although the show hadn’t released new episodes in three years, StartUp became a huge hit on Netflix.

Fans were very interested to see if StartUp season 4 was happening and when the new season would be available to stream on Netflix.

Well, initially, things didn’t look so good. The TV show, which originally was released on Crackle, hadn’t been renewed for season 4 for several years. So, many fans thought this meant that the show was over.

There’s been a slight change, it appears. StartUp season 4 looks more possible than ever.

Is StartUp canceled?

No! It’s been more than three years since new episodes have been released, but Crackle did not cancel StartUp, which is a very good sign for fans of the TV series.

It means there’s a chance season 4 could happen, and we have some good news to share on that front.

Is StartUp renewed for season 4?

Not yet. StartUp has not been renewed for season 4 yet, but there was a report from Business Insider and picked up by What’s on Netflix that confirms negotiations are taking place to see if StartUp season 4 could happen.

Obviously, there are still many hoops left to jump through. It’s very early days for the StartUp season 4 renewal, but this is a good sign for fans of the series.

There are a lot of challenges facing this show. The cast is doing a ton of other stuff right now, so scheduling difficulties and getting actors to return is a huge obstacle. We’ve seen cast availability and lack thereof tank reboots and revivals.

I’m skeptical that they will be able to bring back the whole team and make something happen. It’s probably more likely they could bring back some of the cast and change the story from there. We’ll just have to see what happens.

When is StartUp season 4 coming out?

Again, this is very early in the process, so it’s hard to know exactly when Startup season 4 is coming out. Assuming the renewal happens soon and they’re able to start filming in early 2022 (late 2021 is already out of the question), we technically could see StartUp season 4 in late 2022.

That’s probably the best-case scenario.

StartUp season 4 would likely be released sometime in 2023. These things take a long time, especially with all of the COVID-19 restrictions in the industry right now, and there are so many logistical hurdles to overcome before production can even take place.

Hopefully, we’ll see StartUp season 4 renewed soon, so then things can get started on the pre-production and production side soon.

Unfortunately, as What’s on Netflix points out, there’s no guarantee StartUp season 4 would be on Netflix anytime soon since this is a Crackle series. We have to assume that if StartUp season 4 does happen, Netflix will secure the streaming rights at some point, especially given how popular the show was on Netflix.
