5 must-watch Netflix movies this weekend

Sweet Girl

The first movie on the list has to be Sweet Girl. Jason Momoa stars as a man who is grieving the loss of his wife, a loss that simply didn’t have to happen. A pharmaceutical company takes a life-saving drug of the market, and this grieving widow wants revenge.

However, it all turns sideways. The company realizes that he poses a risk to them, so the company sends people after him and his daughter.

Black Island

Need a thriller? There are some excellent Netflix movies to watch, and the one for this weekend is Black Island. It follows an orphan who heads to a seemingly peaceful island.

Of course, not everything is as it seems. The secrets of the island are suddenly released. On top of that, Jonas falls in love with a mysterious teacher who certainly seems to be more than she says she is.

Walk of Shame

If you love Elizabeth Banks, you’ll want to watch her as Meghan in Walk of Shame. Meghan is a party girl and isn’t ashamed of sleeping with the guys she meets. However, that changes one morning.

She ends up waking up in a stranger’s bed and risks missing out on the interview for a job of a lifetime. Will she be able to keep out of trouble as she attempts to get back home?

Memories of a Murderer: The Nilsen Tapes

There are a fair few documentaries on Netflix. Memories of a Murderer: The Nilsen Tapes is one to check out this weekend. It’s technically a movie so we’re counting it for this list.

The Nilsen Tapes is all about Dennis Nilsen, a Scottish man convicted of the murder of multiple young men. His crimes took place in the late ’70s and early ’80s, but how was he caught? What really happened to them? It’s time to find out.

The Loud House Movie

Need something to take your mind off the horrors of real people? You’ll want to turn to the last of the Netflix movies this weekend. The Loud House Movie is now available to stream.

This movie follows the members of the Loud family as they head on a vacation to Scotland. While there, they find out they’re descendants of the Royal Family. Of course, that means a lot of trouble with hilarious results.
