Never Have I Ever season 3 renewed on Netflix

Never Have I Ever is well on its way to becoming one of the most popular shows on Netflix. And, now, Never Have I Ever season 3 is officially happening.

According to a report from TV Line, Netflix renewed Never Have I Ever for season 3.

The second season premiered on Netflix on July 15, so we’re a little more than a month after the premiere, and it’s already picked up for another season. Most Netflix shows don’t get that treatment. We’re usually left waiting for months and months about the future of some Netflix shows.

Now that we know Never Have I Ever season 3 is happening on Netflix, when will we see the new season?

When is Never Have I Ever season 3 coming out?

The TV Line report didn’t mention the exact release date or even the release date window for Never Have I Ever season 3. Things have been a little wonky with production schedules during the pandemic, but we have a pretty good idea when to expect Never Have I Ever season 3 on Netflix.

There was a 15-month gap, basically, between the first two seasons of the Netflix original series, but that was largely due to the pandemic interrupting production. We should not have to wait that long for season 3, assuming everything continues to go well with filming, including avoiding shutdowns, keeping the cast and crew safe and healthy, etc.

There’s a chance we could even see Never Have I Ever season 3 on Netflix much sooner than the typical Netflix release strategy, which brings news seasons of popular shows about 12 months apart.

If things go well, the earliest we’d see Never Have I Ever season 3 on Netflix is the spring of 2022. That means production would have to start pretty soon and wrap in late 2021 or early 2022 to all for four to six months of post-production, which is what we’d expect for a show like this.

The most likely scenario is that Netflix won’t rush the cast and crew back into production and things will happen more slowly, which would mean that we’ll see Never Have I Ever season 3 sometime next summer, between June and September 2022.
