If you’re looking for a movie to make you ugly-cry, Five Feet Apart is the one for you. The romantic drama stars Cole Sprouse as Will and Haley Lu Richardson as Stella, two teenagers who suffer from cystic fibrosis. In and out of the hospital, the two meet and fall for each other. But because of their condition, they cannot have close physical contact and instead have to stay at a distance apart.

Will and Stella get close as they battle the disease together, making memories and unfortunately losing a friend who also had cystic fibrosis in the process. Their journey together is no doubt an emotional one, and you’re going to need a whole box of tissues for the ending.

Though Five Feet Apart didn’t do too hot with critics when it premiered in March 2019, it did attract teen drama fans with the two leads. Of course, Cole Sprouse is currently starring in The CW’s Riverdale, while Haley Lu Richardson is most famous for films like The Edge of Seventeen and the show Recovery Road.

Five Feet Apart isn’t the best movie in the world, but it does check the boxes when it comes to romance.
