The Last Letter to Your Lover is one the most popular romance movies to come out on Netflix this year. Based on the book of the same name by Jojo Moyes (who also penned the tearjerker Me After You), the film follows different timelines as a reporter tries to figure out the truth behind love letters found from the 1960s.

If you’re a fan of period pieces this might be the film for you, as it takes place in both the past and the present, complete with fabulous outfits from the ’60s! Plus, Shailene Woodley and Felicity Jones are wonderful actresses and do a great job as the leads.

As most romance films do, The Last Letter to Your Lover is bound to make you shed a tear (or a few), so make sure you have the tissues ready and the wine poured for this one. Though it’s not one of our personal favorites of the year, it is a great option for those looking for a good love story.

The Last Letter to Your Lover premiered on July 23, 2021 and is still being watched a ton on Netflix.
