Swiped premiered on Netflix in 2018. Ann Deborah Fishman wrote the screenplay for the movie and also directed the movie.

The film tells the story of two college students, James and Lance, played by Kendall Sanders and Noah Centineo, respectively. The pair create a hookup app for students at their college.  After creating and using the app, they start to realize that their plan might have been a bad idea.

I don’t know what is about Centineo playing characters who create apps, but this movie is very similar to The Perfect Date. Centineo also stars in that Netflix movie, which is about his character creating an app to set him up on dates with girls and get paid for it.

Overall, Swiped isn’t that great of a movie, but there’s definitely a certain group of romantic movie fans that will like this romantic comedy. Check it out on Netflix if you like these kinds of romantic comedies about young people, technology and social media.
