Holidate was released on Netflix to kickstart the holiday season in late October 2020. It was a big hit for the streaming service during the holiday season. It’s definitely one of the best adult romantic comedies on the streaming service.

The film tells the story of Sloane, played by Emma Roberts, who is always having trouble with relationships. Jackson, played by Luke Bracey, is the same way. Together, they agree to be each other’s dates to holidays during the year. Then, of course, they start to catch some feelings and things get complicated.

I think there’s a good chance we could see another Holidate in the future. Netflix has not officially ordered the sequel yet, but things have been weird during the pandemic. We’ll see if Netflix gives the green light to Holidate 2 when things get back to normal.
