Kevin Hart is a versatile comedian who can tell a raunchy joke one minute and then turn around and play a zoologist in a family movie. He is hilarious no matter which context you see him in. His career break came in 2001 when he was cast as a guest star in Judd Apatow’s Undeclared series.

Once he received his break, things really took off. His first film role was in 2002’s Paper Soldiers, an urban crime comedy. Hart has gone on to star in many films and tv series for both adults and families.

After a rocky start to his stand-up career, Hart would go on to host his own comedy tours starting in 2009 with I’m a Grown Little Man.  This would lead to many other successful comedy tours.

Fatherhood – This Netflix original movie stars Hart as a recently widowed husband who must now take up the sole responsibility of raising his infant daughter. Although the film is a comedy, there are many heart-wrenching moments of tenderness that bring a tear to your eye. The cast does an amazing job in this film, giving it a lot of charm and heart. Fatherhood is based on a memoir by Matthew Logelin called Two Kisses for Maddy: A Memoir of Loss and Love.

Kevin Hart: Don’t F**K This Up – This documentary series features Hart, as himself, as he reflects on events that have shaped his life.

True Story – Coming up next, Hart will star in the Netflix limited series True Story. A release date has yet to be announced for this series. It will star Wesley Snipes, Tawny Newsome, Will Catlett, Paul Adelstein, Ash Santos, Lauren London, John Ales, Chris Diamantopoulos and Billy Zane.

Hart plays a comedian and movie star whose tour has a stop in his hometown of Philadelphia. He meets up with his brother (Snipes) for one night out, leading to a life and death situation that could end his career.
