The final installment of The Kissing Booth series is officially here, and we’ve received all the answers we needed to know regarding which man Elle Evans (Joey King) chooses and where she ultimately goes to college. If you’re new to the romantic comedy movies on Netflix, they follow the teenage protagonist who has to juggle her relationship with her childhood best friend Lee Flynn (Joel Courtney) as she starts falling in love with his older brother Noah Flynn (Jacob Elordi). By The Kissing Booth 3, Elle is faced with her most difficult decision when choosing which school to attend.

Elle has two choices at the start of The Kissing Booth 3: UC Berkeley with Lee, or Harvard with Noah. And impressively, she gets accepted into both, complicating things much further. So what does she decide at the end of the movie?

Spoilers for The Kissing Booth 3 ahead.

Throughout the beginning of The Kissing Booth 3, Elle struggles with her decision and continues to put it off. She gets calls from the admissions offices letting her know they need answers soon, which only puts the pressure on harder for her. At the end of The Kissing Booth 2, Elle actually tells Lee and Noah that she was put on the waitlist for both schools, just so she could postpone her decision as long as possible.

After Elle gets a phone call in The Kissing Booth 3 and is told she only has a day to decide, it becomes apparent that she’s choosing Harvard. Noah is understandably super happy and excitedly embraces Elle, which Lee unfortunately sees and gets upset. Lee realizes even without the verbal confirmation that Elle would be going to Harvard, and that feels like a betrayal to him.

Despite making her decision pretty early on in the movie, there’s still a lot Elle needs to figure out. And it seems that the more fights she and Noah have, the more unlikely it is that she’ll enter her first year at Harvard in a relationship.

Does Elle go to Harvard in The Kissing Booth 3?

After a major fight, Noah breaks up with Elle and tells her that if she goes to Harvard, it won’t be with him. Ouch! Elle is understandably heartbroken and seeks out comfort from Noah and Lee’s mom, played by Molly Ringwald, who gives her advice. Mrs. Flynn tells Elle that she’s been choosing between what Noah and Lee wanted, but never considered what she wanted to do for herself.

Elle decides she wants to study video game design, and scores an interview at The University of Southern California. Although the interview is a little awkward in the beginning, Elle quickly turns it around and impresses. In the end, she attends USC and seems very happy with that decision.

The final scene in The Kissing Booth 3 is a time jump where the main characters are starting their professional lives. Noah and Elle are reunited and though they’ve gone their separate ways, they certainly seem happy to see each other. The movie ends before they can explore any feelings they might still have, but it seems hopeful they could get back together at some point in their future.

We won’t be getting The Kissing Booth 4, so this final movie in the series does a great job wrapping up Elle’s storyline. She clearly chose best when putting herself first and not picking a college based on what Lee or Flynn wanted.

The Kissing Booth 3 is now streaming on Netflix.
