Family Reunion Part 4 is the last 8 episodes of season 2 of the family comedy, Family Reunion. The family comedy sitcom is the brainchild of Meg DeLoatch, a veteran TV writer and producer. She has written for many popular sitcoms such as Fuller House, Malcolm & Eddie, Family Matters, and more.

According to a report from The Denver Channel, when Netflix asked DeLoatch to come on board and create new content that would display a positive representation of an African American family, DeLoatch couldn’t pass up the opportunity. She knew there was a great need for more black characters on-screen, so her decision to create a new Netflix original series about an African American family was a no-brainer.

Family Reunion isn’t the first black family sitcom to stream on Netflix. Other sitcoms such as Marlon and All About the Washingtons made their arrival on Netflix years prior. However, neither one of those shows was as successful as Family Reunion.

When Family Reunion Part 1 dropped on Netflix in July 2019, the show did okay for its opening, earning a Rotten Tomatoes score of 67%. The show then went on to be nominated for a Primetime Emmy in 2020 and the winner of the Image Award for Outstanding Children’s Program in 2020 and 2021.

Since Family Reunion is an episodic show, Family Reunion Part 4 will consist of episodes discussing new topics and issues that the family may face. So now you’re probably wondering what you should expect of the last 8 episodes of season 2.

I’m here to answer your question!
