Is The Pursuit of Love on Netflix? Where to watch the show online

If you’re a fan of period dramas, then you’ll want to check out Lily James and Emily Beecham’s new show, The Pursuit of Love.

This three-part series, which is set in the period between the world wars that ravaged the globe, is a story about love that includes romcom like situations. But, it’s also about two cousins coming into their own as women as they fall in and out of love with the world around them and the men they meet.

Linda Radlett (James) is boisterous and faces life head on despite being fanciful and romantic. She doesn’t wait for life to happen to her, she makes life happen. In contrast, Fanny Logan (Beecham) is her calmer counterpart. Fanny likes a good time, but she’s more sensible and aware of how the world actually works.

Together, the two balance one another out. However, as they grow older, their bond is challenged by their shifting perspectives of what women are capable of and how love should be.

As you can see, this series will span several years as Linda and Fanny explore life and love, verging down different paths from one another but remaining united in their devotion to each other. The two will grow as their nation does, deciding what is right for them as women in a society that insists on trying to decide for them.

The Pursuit of Love is ultimately about a woman’s choice. How she’d like to live her life whether it is loud and without restraint. Or comfortable and within the bounds of what’s deemed acceptable.

Where to stream The Pursuit of Love

Sorry to disappoint, Netflix Lifers, but The Pursuit of Love isn’t on our go-to streaming platform. The series, which Amazon Studios developed in partnership with BBC, is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. All three episodes of the show dropped Friday, July 30.

If you’re not an Amazon Prime Video subscriber, you can purchase a monthly plan for $8.99 plus tax. However, this will not grant you access to the sites Amazon Prime deals. For that you’d have to sign-up for an Amazon Prime membership which is $12.99 (plus tax) monthly for regular members and $6.49 (plus tax) for students.
