Who are the killers in Fear Street Part 2: 1978?

Fear Street Part 2: 1978 is the second outing in Netflix’s latest horror trilogy, and it brings a new set of killers to the franchise.

For the next movie of the eagerly awaited Fear Street trilogy, we were given a taste of what was to come right in the title; Fear Street Part Two: 1978. In this extended storyline, it takes on a journey further into the lore of the Sarah Fier curse that haunts the citizens of Shadyside. While in the first movie we followed the main character, Deena, through her attempts to save the girl she loves, this next one takes us on a different route.

Fear Street Part Two: 1978  throws the audience into the previously mentioned Camp Nightwing massacre. Unlike the previous part, we witness events from the perspective of C. Berman, who is recounting the tale to Deena, Josh and the possessed Sam.

Fear Street Part 2 killers

C. Berman recounts the story of a strained relationship between sisters named Cindy and Ziggy, which was not uncommon in the town of Shadyside as poverty and difficulty ran rampant due to the curse.

As we see in 1994, the rivalry between this town and Sunnyvale is as deep as ever when the dynamic is shown by campers from both sides being placed together. More when we see how Ziggy is brutalized by Sunnyvale campers However, the story really begins when Cindy’s boyfriend, Tommy Slater, is attacked by the camp nurse who sees that he is the next vessel for the witch’s evil and tries to kill him to prevent the mayhem that ensues.

Failing in her mission, Slater embarks on an ax-fueled spree, killing all that come across his path, even his former friends, unless they were from Sunnyvale. Although Slater is the one we see slaughtering campers seemingly out of nowhere, the killer turns out to be the witch who is possessing him to be used as a puppet for these murders.

Unfortunately, by the end, they are no closer to finding a solid solution to end the witch’s curse, but we are left on a cliffhanger when present-day Deena has a vision of being in the body of Sarah Fier, which sets it up perfectly for the last part in this harrowing tale, Fear Street Part 3: 1666.
