Do Tessa and Hardin get back together in After We Fell?

After fans won’t have to wait much longer to see the love story between Tessa and Hardin continue. While viewers have quickly grown to adore the couple, their combative relationship onscreen has left everyone on their toes about how it will unfold.

Before After We Fell hits theaters in September, fans want to know where exactly the two stand at the end of the novel.

Do Hardin and Tessa get back together in After We Fell?

In the book, Tessa and Hardin continue their will-they-won’t-they romance with multiple breakups and make-ups throughout the pages. Yet, true to the previous novels, the book does end on another cliffhanger.

After traveling to London together for Hardin’s mother’s wedding, the two discover some dark secrets about his past. It turns out that Tessa’s boss, Christian Vance, is actually Hardin’s biological father and having one last fling before the wedding. At this point, the unlucky couple is still together, albeit the ground is very shaky.

Matters are even more complicated because Vance is Hardin’s adoptive father’s best friend, and Tessa’s good friend/boss Kimberly is also marrying him. Considering Hardin is known to go on self-destructive streaks and has yet to reckon with his past (especially his father), it seems like After fans might need to prepare themselves for trouble in paradise.

There are also a few casting changes that viewers should expect in the upcoming film. Chance Perdomo (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) will be taking over as Landon Gibson, Tessa’s best friend/Hardin’s stepbrother. Meanwhile, Arielle Kebbel (Ballers), Stephen Moyer (The Gifted, True Blood), Mira Sorvino (Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion), and Frances Turner (The Man in the High Castle) will be stepping into the roles of Kimberly (originally played by Candace King), Vance (originally played by Charlie Weber), Carol (originally played by Selma Blair), and Karen (originally played by Karimah Westbrook).
