Does JJ die in Outer Banks season 1?

Outer Banks is one of the most popular teen shows on Netflix and has been since the Netflix original series premiered in April 2020. JJ, played by Rudy Pankow, is one of the characters fans love the most.

Unfortunately, JJ finds himself in a lot of sketchy situations in the first season of Outer Banks. There’s always someone who’s coming for JJ and the Pogues, and that’s made clear early in season 1 when those bad dudes in the boat fire shots at the Pogues after finding the sunken boat.

Does JJ die in Outer Banks?

No! JJ doesn’t die in Outer Banks season 1. At the end of the season, JJ, Pope, and Kiara watch on as John B and Sarah are chased out into the storm.

If you’ve seen the trailer for Outer Banks season 2, you know that JJ is alive, although we don’t know how he’s doing. It doesn’t seem like he’s doing well. Everyone assumes that Sarah and John B were killed in the storm, which is obviously very upsetting to JJ, Kie, and Pope.

So, that’s where it looks like Outer Banks season 2 begins.

After Outer Banks season 1 aired last spring, there were multiple prank sites reporting that Rudy Pankow, who plays JJ in Outer Banks, was killed in a car accident, according to a report from The Cinemaholic. I don’t understand where that came from or why or why someone would find that funny, but that’s possibly why some fans are wondering if JJ will be back in Outer Banks season 2.

Clearly, Pankow is back for the new season!
