Fear Street Part 1: 1994 ending explained

Fear Street Part 1: 1994 premiered on Netflix on July 2, 2021, and it ends with a major cliffhanger.

Spoilers ahead for Fear Street Part 1. If you haven’t seen the new Netflix movie, turn back and go watch it. The horror movie is really good, and you’ll enjoy it.

Now, let’s talk about how Fear Street Part 1 ends and how it sets up Fear Street Part 2: 1978. 

Fear Street Part 1 ending

Fear Street Part 1 all comes to an end, for the most part, at the Shadyside grocery store. After learning that Sam needs to die and then be revived to beat the curse of the witch, Kate mixes up a cocktail that will stop her heart and then gives Deena the supplies to bring her back. That all goes sideways instantly, though.

The killers show up. Kate is killed in the most gruesome way possible in this movie. She takes a dive through a bread slicer courtesy of the Skeleton Man. Simon gets an axe to the dome and dies.

Deena drowns Sam in the lobster tank, stops the serial killers, and then revives Sam. Despite all the death and destruction, Deena, Sam, and Josh survive the attack. They beat the witch!

But, just when you think that Deena, Sam, and Josh have really beaten the witch, C. Berman calls Deena’s house. She tells her that this isn’t actually over. Immediately, Sam becomes possessed by the witch and stabs Deena.

Luckily, Deena is able to tie Sam up with the phone cord, but she’s still possessed by the witch.

Now, instead of being hunted by a gang of undead serial killers, Sam looks like she’s the next in line. Her name is scratched on the rock along with the rest of the serial killers possessed by the witch throughout the history of Shadyside. Yikes!

This is most definitely not over!

Now, Deena and Josh must figure out to do, and based on the post-credits scene, it looks like C. Berman, the one who called Deena could have something to do with it.

We know that we’re going to back to 1978 in Fear Street Part 2 to a summer camp, Camp Nightwing.

So, that’s how Part 1 ends. Now, I can’t wait to watch Part!

When is Fear Street Part 2 on Netflix?

You don’t have to wait long to watch Fear Street Part 2: 1978 on Netflix. The movie is coming to Netflix one week after the first movie premiered on Netflix, which means you can watch Fear Street Part 2 on July 9, 2021.

That’s quick turnaround, but it’s definitely necessary. The suspense is just too much for me to take!
