Honestly, I feel like Richard Madden has to be on this dateability list even if he hadn’t been in anything that was a Netflix Original, because honestly, this man is dreamy. But luckily for me and my rankings, he is in fact in some original Netflix programming, specifically Ibiza: Love Drunk and The Bodyguard.

In Ibiza: Love Drunk, Madden plays a famous DJ who has a way with words and an ability to prove that he can be romantic and spontaneous. And while his relationship is never really cemented into place or even really explored beyond the one real night they have together, it leaves us with a sense of just what type of a guy he is.

Beyond this Netflix movie, we also have The Bodyguard to work with. And that is an entirely different beast. We are talking about a political thriller that offers us a new look at Madden as a war veteran and Principal Protection Offer.

While romance might be the furthest thing from your mind when you watch The Bodyguard and Richard Madden as David Budd, there is something about him that still makes you realize that he would in fact be a good partner. Maybe it is the seriousness of his character or his dedication to finding out the truth and what is right, but there is just something so compelling about Madden in the role.
