As we close out one month, we welcome in another. That means a lot of new content coming to Netflix. Here are the shows and movies on Netflix to watch throughout the week.

There is plenty arriving on Netflix between May 31 and June 6, 2021. We close out the month of May and welcome June in style.

The problem with the first-of-the-month drop and all the content that comes throughout that first week of the month is that things get overwhelming. There’s just so much content, and there’s a risk of missing out on some great shows and movies on Netflix.

We’ve picked out content from throughout the week with suggestions of what to watch. Here are the five top shows and movies on Netflix throughout the next week.

5 must-watch shows and movies on Netflix from May 31 to June 6

Million Dollar Baby

We start with one of the older movies dropping on Netflix on Tuesday, June 1. Hilary Swank and Clint Eastwood star in Million Dollar Baby.

Eastwood is an ill-tempered boxing coach who agrees to take on Maggie as a new trainee. He’s impressed by her talent and determination and wants to make sure she is the best of the best. The movie is certainly heartbreaking at the end, but in the lead up to it, there are some beautiful and inspirational moments.

Welcome Home

For those who prefer a thriller, Welcome Home is the movie to watch this week. Aaron Paul and Emily Ratajkowki star as a married couple who head out on a vacation. It’s supposed to be a relaxing and romantic adventure, but it soon takes a sinister turn.

It turns out the homeowner of the holiday home in Italy has some dark plans for the couple. Can the two get out of dodge? Find out on Tuesday, June 1.

Kim’s Convenience season 5

The fifth and (sadly) final season of Kim’s Convenience makes its way to Netflix this week. The season picks up with Umma getting a new parking pass, which gives Appa a new idea. Janet searches for some meaningful work, while Shannon ends up creating an awkward situation for the Handy staff due to a mixup.

If you haven’t checked out the Canadian comedy yet, you’ll definitely want to watch the show this week. It’s one of the funniest, inclusive, and most meaningful shows ever made.

The full season drops on Wednesday, June 2.

Sweet & Sour

Some of the best content on Netflix comes from South Korea. Sweet & Sour is the upcoming movie worth checking out. It’s based on a novel about a couple trying to make a long distance relationship work.

We all know what long distance relationships are like. They’re certainly not the easiest, but they can be possible. Can this couple figure out a way to stay together?

Check out the Netflix Original Movie on Friday, June 4.

Sweet Tooth season 1

Finally, it’s a TV series that is perfect for fantasy fans, Sweet Tooth. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, a young half-human, half-deer boy searches for a new beginning. He has a gruff protector called Jepperd who is a wandering loner. The two head out on an extraordinary adventure across America.

The series looks at the characters’ pasts and explores the true meaning of home. Of course, along the way they come across unexpected allies and enemies and a dangerous world outside the forest.

Watch the new series on Friday, June 4.
