While we’re looking forward to the big drop of movies on June 1, we still have a weekend to get through. Which movies on Netflix will we watch this weekend?

There are strong chances that you’re spending the weekend binge-watching Lucifer season 5 part 2. And when you get through that, you’ll probably watch it again.

Of course, there were some other big releases over the last couple of days when it comes to TV shows. Ragnarok season 2 and The Kominsky Method season 3 both arrived during the week. But you may not have time for more TV shows.

You have time for a movie or two. Here are five top movies on Netflix you need to check out this weekend.

5 must-watch movies on Netflix this weekend

Home

We start with a great animated movie for the whole family. Home includes the voices of Jim Parsons and Rhianna, and it focuses on a story of an alien invasion that isn’t meant to be all that harmful. The aliens don’t want to hurt the humans, but they do want to find a place that is safe to call home.

An alien and a human end up separated from their own people, and they need to get along to get back to the human’s mom. Could they also help to defeat the aliens’ enemy?

Spy Kids: All the Time in the World

Need something else for the whole family? For those who adored We Can Be Heroes and loved the original Spy Kids movies, you’ll want to put on Spy Kids: All the Time in the World during the weekend.

It’s the fourth movie in the overall franchise, this time focused on a different set of kids. They’re shocked to find out their uncool stepmom is a spy, and when the adults are abducted, it’s up to them to learn all about how to be spies to save the day.

Army of the Dead

This is one of the movies on Netflix from the previous week, but it’s worth the watch this weekend. Army of the Dead is a mixture of a heist movie and a zombie movie, and it had, admittedly, had some mixed reviews.

Honestly, if you’re just looking for something light and purely made for entertainment, you’ll want to watch the Zack Snyder movie. It’s nothing new to either genre and there are flaws, but it’s light-hearted for the topic.

Collateral Beauty

Will Smith, Keira Knightly, and Kate Winslet all star in Collateral Beauty, a movie from 2016. Howard Inlet is an advertising executive who suffers the loss of his young daughter. He can’t move through the stages of depression, and his business partners use this as a chance to take over the company.

The partners hire actors to prove Howard’s mental illness. It doesn’t help that Howard’s actions through his depression cause the company some high-profile clients and put the business at risk. However, does Howard care enough to keep his company on track?

Ghost Lab

Not to be confused with the reality program, Ghost Lab is a new Thai-language movie on Netflix. It follows two doctors who become obsessed with finding proof that ghosts exist. It all comes after witnessing a hospital at the hospital they work.

Of course, we know what happens when people try to prove ghosts exist. There’s always something crazy that happens.
