Is Lauren German really singing in the Lucifer musical episode?

Over the course of Lucifer‘s five seasons, fans have been treated to several musical numbers so it’s only fitting that in Lucifer season 5 part 2 the series finally debuted its long-anticipated musical episode.

While in certain musical episodes only a small handful of the cast get in on the action and belt out in song, the musical episode of Lucifer, “Bloody Celestial Karaoke Jam,” saw the entire cast belting out in song at least once across the episode. Some performances came as solos, some as duets and we even saw a few group numbers sprinkled in for good measure!

The Lucifer musical episode features performances from every member of the cast, but is Lauren German really singing in the episode?

So is Lauren German is truly singing in the Lucifer musical episode “Bloody Celestial Karaoke Jam”?  Although German only performs briefly as part of the ensemble number, that is indeed her voice you’re hearing in the episode!

As we mentioned, German’s only performance comes in the second musical number of the episode, an ensemble performance of Queen’s “Another One Bites the Dust.” German is accompanied by her fellow castmates Tom Ellis, Kevin Alejandro, and Aimee Garcia who all perform as part of the episode’s big musical number which was previously teased ahead of the episode’s release.

It’s unclear why German only performs in the one ensemble number and because she only performs in the group number it’s hard to clearly hear her voice too clearly among the ensemble, but at least we get one Chloe musical moment in the episode!
