Is American Dad on Netflix?

American Dad has been a wickedly funny animated series since it debuted on February 6, 2005. Now that in its 18th season, many Netflix subscribers are curious to know if it is available on the streaming service.

The series from Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane follows the Smith family, which consists of CIA agent Stan, his wife Francine, their kids Hayley and Steve, their talking fish Klaus and the multiple disguise-wearing alien named Roger who lives in the attic. There have been 18 seasons and over 300 episodes of American Dad, and the series has moved from FOX to TBS, where season 18 is currently airing.

The show has received several award nominations, including four from the Primetime Emmys and two from the Annie Awards. In 2013, the show was named one of the Top Television Series by from the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers.

There are so many reasons to have American Dad at the top of one’s watch list, from Roger’s many personalities to the flat-out brilliant antics of CIA director Avery Bullock (played by the iconic Patrick Stewart). It’s no wonder subscribers are looking to see if the show can be watched on their favorite streamer.

Is American Dad available on Netflix?

American Dad is not available to enjoy on Netflix. That’s not entirely shocking, because other animated series from the FOX (or in this case formerly FOX) catalog, like The Simpsons and Futurama, aren’t available to stream either.

While this revelation is not ideal and will definitely disappoint many subscribers, they should remember there are other options on the streaming service.
